Tango Extremo presents: Club Vaudeville

In their new program ‘Club Vaudeville’, Tango Extremo will bring you back to the nightclubs of Paris and Berlin in the 1920’s and 30’s. There where jazz, folk and classical music blended together with variété and amusement. Enter ‘Club Vaudeville’ and get to know the place where nightowls and the flamboyant of this world meet.

Right after entering ‘Club Vaudeville’, Mackie Magnolia opens the night with “I’m just a gigolo”. It sets the mood for a night filled with too much alcohol, not enough love and everything our parents told us to stay away from. A world full of decadence, melancholic glamour and music. Music that doesn’t want to make things more attractive than they are, but just wants to make it intense and vivid. When Mackie Magnolia sings ‘Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin’ or ‘An den kleine Radioapparat’ you will feel like you are sitting in the Tingel Tangel theatre in Berlin. Just like ‘Si tu vois ma mer’ and ‘Un gamin de Paris’ will make the Folies Bergère and Moulin Rouge come alive before your eyes.

With ‘Club Vaudeville’, Tango Extremo presents to you their 8th theatre show. A musical ode to the strength of people to hold on and continue their lives, even if they’re ‘just a gigolo’.

Swingin Harlem
After the huge success of their first show, New York Round Midnight proudly presents their new show: Swingin’ Harlem.
In the middle of the Prohibition, when the United States had a lot of problems to deal with, people who wanted to escape the harsh reality knew there was only one place to do so: Swingin’ Harlem.

In Swingin’ Harlem the audience will be guided through the nightlife of Harlem. We follow the story of Jack, an experienced private detective who accepted a new case that leads him to the Savoy Ballroom, the Cotton Club, the Apollo Theatre and the Harlem Opera House. Somewhere in these famous nightclubs he hopes to find what he is looking for. Will he succeed in his quest?

Swingin’ Harlem will bring you an evening full of swingin’ live music.

I’m a soulman

In november 2017 Legends of Music will start the tour of the new show “I’m a Soulman”.
I’m a Soulman is a new exciting soulshow based on the remarkable story of the legendary record label STAX.
In 1958, just when the United States were experiencing racial uproars, a write brother and sister decided to start a record label for black artists.

Within no time STAX grew to one big family of successful like-minded artists like Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Booker T. & the M.G.’s who all made their way to world fame.
During the show we will take you back to the world famous STAX recording studio where singers Steffen Morrison (The Voice of Holland) and Joy Wielkens, together with the best R&B band of the Netherlands, will give you that true sixties-feeling by playing hits like “Dock of the bay”, “Knock on wood”, and of course “I’m a Soulman”.

Club Vaudeville
For their upcoming theater program, Tango Extremo comes with a brand new piece: Club Vaudeville!

In this eighth(!) production, Tango Extremo dives into a musical rollercoaster of the ’20s and ’30s. In pre-war Berlin and Paris, jazz, folklore and classical music made the perfect fusion of variety and amusement. All summed up, this new musicprogram of Tango Extremo came to life. Tango Extremo presents: Club Vaudeville. There, where night owl’s and outrageous’ met.
